Any Angry Video Game Nerd fans out there? I love this guy's stuff. He's reviewed lots of old school games from my childhood - NES, SNES, Sega, and others. Some of the reviews are a bit long, but they're usually pretty funny and just pure nostalgia. Some of his comments are a bit immature, but aren't we all at times? Here are a couple of my favorite reviews: NES: Nightmare on Elm Street Sega Genesis: Michael Jackson's Moonwalker NES: Super Pitfall I never played this but it's like WTF? LOL 3DO: Plumbers Don't Wear Ties

This one is also hilarious...a little slow and over-dramatic, but funny. His review of Mr Bucket, a kids toy. ;D

Plumbers Don't Wear Ties is easily my favorite episode, I think the random nature of the game makes it ripe for comedy. Action 52 comes at a close second.
(As with any AVGN video, this is NSFW. Lots of bad language, so beware!)
I've been a long-time fan of James and his reviews. Can't wait for the AVGN movie!

Haha...that one is awesome. This is the first time I've seen this review...thanks for sharing . I don't think I ever even saw that game as a kid. Gotta love all the shooter games...oh and the games that just did not load! LOL There were lots of great NES games, but there were tons of awful ones too. You've probably seen this one...he reviews some of the board games he created as a kid. DEADLY DANGER DUNGEON! The most impossible game...ever! ;D And this one is awesome...I so want this board game. Key To The Kingdom. (It's actually on ebay right now for about $65...I've seen it for over $100). The most epic board game ever!!

I haven't watched much Board James. My favorite of what I did watch was always this one.
That cheesy little video that he shows a few minutes in that comes with the board game is hysterical. I love the campy acting and cheesy effects. Probably my favorite board James for that reason.
Also, another old favorite of mine from the AVGN is Day Dreamin' Davy. There is a joke about the teacher's head at 10:35 that still makes me crack up to this day. It doesn't make sense unless you watch the whole video, but that one particular joke was so funny I remember falling out of my chair with laughter the first time I saw it.
As always with James' videos, expect profanity and whatnot. Beware of any chilluns that may be in your area, this will not make their ears very happy.

Funny stuff. I had never heard of AVGN before. Looks like I have some time wasting activities in store!

@ Logga...lol Hero's Quest looks cool...pretty complex for a board game. I had never heard of Key to the Kingdom or Hero's Quest. I would totally play them now if I had a group to play with. A little alcohol and some board games...good times!

Yup Hero's Quest was actually made by Games Workshop, of the Warhammer fame. Hero Quest was their entry in to trying to make a smaller, scaled down version of their larger tabletop war games. HQ was awesome. They even made an Advanced Hero Quest at one point.

I'm downright boring compared to you guys when it comes to boardgames. They only one I have ever had in my house is Connect 4, and I've always played it religiously when my friends and I are bored on rainy days. I think that's my favorite one. My board game tastes are unrefined.

They actually re-released Space Hulk in the past year or two and looked pretty good. I was and still am fairly into boardgames. Unfortunately, I don't have many people to play with. I really enjoy most Fantasy Flight games. They are more expensive but I find the production quality to be terrific. Off to search for more AVGN!

I'm sure you may have seen it, but he redesigned his youtube channel to include every episode of the AVGN in order. You can find that channel right here. www.youtube.com/user/JamesNintendoNerdI'll throw out a few more of my favorites as personal recommendations. His huge rants on the Ghostbuster games makes for a great 2-parter. At one point he "grades" a series of really bad grammatical errors on the game's ending screen, which is worthy of a laugh or two. I also love his reviews of the horrible Zelda and Mario games that were featured on the old Phillips CDI console.
