We all seem to be a group of people that has been around MMOs for a long time. So we should all know to join a server/shard with heavy population at the start and if there are queues we need to deal with them for the first week or so. Its going to happen and I so hope that they dont add too many servers/shards to cater to whinners.
After the first couple of weeks, as mentionned above, some will return to the MMO the put aside to give GW2 a try. The servers should then become mnore stable and such. If we chose a server with anything less than heavy population, we might end up with a server where there may not be as many people as we wished for. The 2 servers in this poll seemed to have decent population dureng last beta week end so either is a good choice. To be honest, I dont really care if I have to be in a queue to get into a server where I know will have a healthy population and economy as a result.

I'm pretty sure the economy is joined from all shards. I could be wrong. I'm like 49% sure .

If I understand the trading house correctly, it should work across servers. This way a player on server A can buy iron from a player on server B. If that is the case, then the only threat to the economy is gold sellers. So a lesser populated server might not be economically crippled as I have seen in some games if that is the case. Something we might want to look into regarding the trading house system to see if I am correct in my assumption or not.

I will not vote, 1 i'm not a guild member and 2 if I was I would go the the server the guild decided on. I am a very casual player.

I voted Rall, but I'm really up in the air over which I would rather be on.

Home is where the heart is...or, in this case, server is where the guild is. Still, in an effort to be helpful and not just undecided, I voted Rall, but ultimately I don't truly have an opinion either way.

I agree with being on a more populated server and from what I've read over the comments, the two choices shouldn't be bad.

i voted for Brolis Pass. While I think its great what Anet did naming a server in honor of a gamer passed away, I would just feel like a bandwagoner for jumping on there for a reason I just found out about. I know some might not agree with me but thats just who I am, I dont like doing something just because its the popular thing to do. I think it should be important to me and mean something to me. Like I said thats just my opinion and I wanted to let you all know why I voted the way I did. Also because I am new I wanted to start participating in some of these discussions >.<

Been doing some research and according to the GW2 Wiki, the trading house is global. So there is no need to worry about the server economy when voting. wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Trading_Post

That's fine. I think we have 4 full days because of the head start to re-evaluate it anyway if something doesn't work out to switch servers

I registered us on gw2guilds.org and set us as a US guild that is undecided on server choice. I will update this once I close this poll and a decision has been made. www.gw2guilds.org/view-guild/649I'll send out another email to all members soon reminding them to vote so we can get our decision nailed down. I am thinking I'll close the poll next Saturday, the 11th (2 weeks before the headstart).

I'm up for either...I go where the group goes! ( I voted Borlis just for the heck of it) As long as we have a good time, that's all that matters. And I think the global auction house thing is really awesome.

I voted Sanctum of Rall because I have a feeling it will be more populated.

I voted Sanctum of Rall because I have a feeling it will be more populated. I also voted Sanctum of Rall for the same reason and hope we are on a more populated server.

Haha, looks like Borlis Pass is winning now. Still hoping Sanctum squeaks past, but I'm happy with either one.
