Bringing this up now...before it becomes a problem

Hello All,

Yes it is me, the silly, sometimes serious dungeon runner, guildie, officer, member, and all around schmuck . Something has been brought to my attention and I want to discuss it here, in a semi serious way before it creates problems and we loose good people.

Casual Guild of casual players, I get that, and I actually (shock to my younger self ) enjoy and support it. An before the topic is even brought up I will freely admit I myself need to do a better job in this regard as I miss 50% of Guild chat focusing on the game.

However it is being brought to my attention when more then 15 to 25 members are on and people say hello, few if any say hi. When people ask a question, some days all they get is a smart (insert the 2 words here) answer. An that is not the guild we want to have people. This is not an accusation, just a post meant to make us all do better and trying to do the simple things. Say Hi, answer questions and make this fun for everyone . From uswho play a lot to someone only on a day a month... apparently if the emails and chat's I get are any indication we can all do better.... I know I plan to.

I second that. When I come on, I want a full guild old school roll call hello.

I'm really glad you brought that up. I actually stopped saying hello when I came because nothing is worse than dead air, although sometimes conversations are going on and just ignore the hello as well. Definitely different than when the game first started.

But I too have to take responsibility as I should as well make an effort to be more vocal and involve myself more in guild stuff. I've been too focused on finishing the exploration of the world, just a couple of regions to go to complete, but should never let that get in the way of courtesy

Sidenote: that's one of the reasons I've always done the SMOKE.... bit when I hop on. I like all the replies of & FIRE !!!!

even if you dont know the member personally - remember they are part of our guild, and part of what makes this game great. I try to reply to people when i can, i know sometimes i'm in the middle of a fight and cant type...so then you get the 5 min late reply so it looks like i'm a little slow, lol.

I agree. It's always nice to get a response in guild chat.

I find it really easy to miss guild chat however. And that's with me having a special chat tab that is guild only. Maybe it's tunnel vision... I really wish there was an option to have a sound play kind of like with whispers.

At any rate, I'll try to pay better attention.
