Just a reminder to all - PLEASE use a unique password for GW2 that is not in use anywhere else. We have had another member with a hacked account, which can lead to them getting your credit card as well. Take all the precautions you can to be safe. Your friendly neighborhood thief Jade

Too add to this topic, please also make sure you have linked your account. I received an e-mail today indicating someone from France (surely an IP redirect) was trying to access my account. I had a secure password, but it's an added level of protection to let you know to keep that password unique and update.
Also, I would recommend using a paypal account for purchases/account info, versus a credit card. You never know what people will get their hands on.

They are adding a 6 number security key for your account - it is currently in beta. Be on the lookout for it for those wishing to beef up their security Looks like it will be an app on your phone

Cellphone apps are great.... until your phone runs out of battery or gets lost. It will be nice having an extra layer of security for those who opt to use it though.

I second the email link precaution. It takes 2 seconds and is very reassuring to have
