I am about to get loot galore and 3 minutes til a new build are you F * & ^ % ^ & kidding me....."
I wanna see these developers do there freaking personal story AT level..... I am 3 levels above mine and I still dine at times..are you kidding me.....
Now had anyone who I have played with seriously would have told me I would already love a game so much with these fundamental issues.... I would have driven THEM to the funny farm. However I do. In just a few days it is already far far to closer to taking over Everquest in my heart as my favorite MMO and so I thought I would briefly go over the top 3 reasons so far.
Immersion, for me this word sums up my top enjoyment of this game. It is playing the game and watching hours roll by, with music I am going to be buying, watching every piece of area around me like works of art, the fluid action combat I still suck at but love learning, and the biggie.. the world does not give a flying (bleep) if I am there or not, it moves, breathes, there or not there, dynamic events happen if I join or not, all around me as I play, I find myself getting carried of and whisked away and have never regretting any of it. An I must say I am liking the personal story on all 6 of the professions so far. All truly do vary to the race, and choices you make just enough to have me buy in that what I selected actually DID matter.
Time. As an adult game (read life, options, obligations, stuff to do:) I appreciate a game that allows me to play how I want, when I want, and not have the epic "race to endgame" that rewards how LONG you play instead of being fun EVERY TIME you play. I feel just as satisfied crafting for two hours, or looking for a mine or tree, exploring the map, or trying to simply see what is past those trees, or over the hill. I used to always feel whether it was W.O.W (yes boo boo we know evil empire), Star Wars, or even after awhile Everquest 2 that unless I had X amount of time it was a waste for me to log in. I do not feel this way in Guild Wars 2 at all.
Community & the Little Things: For the most part I have been pleasantly shocked how people will offer help to those they do not know as a player or in the same guild. I have been resurrected by as many people as I have done myself..and that is saying a lot as in my Necro case I just curse an poison the mob then run around lifting people back from death lol. I have had people help me when a situation went bad with too many mobs around me, or come back when I did not make a jump to show me, this was a rare rare experience in wow or star wars I assure you. As for the little things, they matter A LOT so much so I now wonder why they were never there before. Overflow server, no more just waiting to Que now I can PLAY as I wait, being able to automatically send all collectibles to the bank, being able to access the bank from a crafting station, being able to get a "second wind" in combat, being able to ACTUALLY move as I cast what ever spell or ability I use, pvp and wvw that is fun and pick up and play at launch at level 1 that is fun even tho I have a long long way to go to even be average, and finally for me as life long hunter/ranger/bowman w/e all the glorious pets....so so many pets...at LAUNCH.
That is pretty much mine for the most part. What is yours???
