Hello everyone,
am at work right now and going through GW2 withdrawals so I figured there must be others in the same boat. I just thought I would take time to post my thoughts about my first live GW2 week end.
I would like to start by giving props to the head honchos in the guild. Putting the guild together (in game) and dealing with everyone's requests was done really well (from where I was sitting). Thank you for the work you have done and will be doing.
I really enjoyed playing with those that I partied with, the WvWvW on Saturday night was sick and really really fun. I'm sure as we gain more levels it will just get better.
I have also been in groups with a few of you doing events, etc...so much fun. People in C3 have been more than cordial with everyone, I have not heard any rude remarks from anyone, I had a few good laughs, the guild members are very helpful and provides an overall nice gaming environment.
I do want to mention however that being there are so many of us in C3 at one time, I tend not to notice when people type in guild chat. Someone actually mentioned having created a guild tab in the chat box which was a great idea. i will work on looking there more often but do want to apologize if I do not answer if someone asks a question in the chat box. This will be a work in progress for me. I do look forward to many hours of gaming with all of you.
well, that's all I have to say about that.
Willard,

Awesome man. I had great experiences with you guys. The meet and greet was awesome. SaF was rolling thick up in lions arch. Great times. I'll second the guild chat comment. This game has so much going on combat wise, scenery wise, etc. it becomes hard to pay attention to much else.

I agree Willard. I am loving the guild and community so far and the game is really amazing. I can imagine I will be playing this game for a long time to come.
The one problem i am having with C3 right now is I want to hear a lot of the game as well. Smaller rooms would help this when operating in smaller groups and then come together for WvW or big events.

I know this may have been posted somewhere and I am not at home to look at C3, but are there any sub-channels for PVE, PvP (both group PvP and WvWvW should have their own channels), a lounge channel, etc...
This should help clear up some of the chatter depending on what people are doing.

Looks like I missed the meet and greet Maybe we can have another one tomorrow since the game is officially launching? I haven't been on C3 much because I like to hear the sounds in-game and there are so many people. Looks like I'm not the only one. Also, I haven't seen anything in guild chat. And does the guild bank work? When I go to talk to the person for it they just say "Find a guild to join." In-game the only way I know I'm in a guild is when I hit G and look at the roster.

To answer your question Akires, we currently do not have a guild bank. last I heard we were waiting to get enough influence points to upgrade architecture. Upgrades can take 1-2 days. There was mention that soon we would get the guild bank.
As for you not seeing the guild chat, please be sure you chose "Represent" at the bottom of the guild window. You can still see the guild members even if you do not represent the guild but are unable to chat/see guild chat.
As for the Meet and greet - take 2, I think this would be a great idea if a bunch of us can go do some WvWvW.

Make sure you are clicking represent on the guild screen with your alts. I'm having a great time playing, hardest part for me has been trying to decided what to play. I like a few different professions, so I've been dabbling in a couple to decide my main. It's been a blast and I can't wait to do more things as a guild.

The amount of influence isn't really the problem yet, its the wait time. We built a workshop (took like 18 hours or so) that lets up now build 2 things at once, but it was bugged until earlier tonight when anet updated teh build. So now we have 2 things building but both take about 2 days i think.
So things we are working towards first are a guildbank, then guild emblem for armor and weapons. It will take some time however so stay patient and in the meantime keep questing and grouping and earning that influence!

Are you able to earn influence for the guild while soloing? or only in a guild group situation? Sadly, I was unable to make the original meet and greet. I also think having another would be awesome or actually if it was made into a regular thing. A guild meet possibly once a month or once every two weeks?

The game is thus far amazing. What I wonder about is when that stage is reached, say after you've leveled one character and are on to your second or third, how difficult the events will be. I've found alone, I have to ignore some of the dynamic events as they seemed geared to groups alone. Right now its tons of fun, but later one might have difficulty after the masses have all leveled.

I have a similar concern, but i figure that as long as people are walking around the area they will be scale down/up to still make the events worth taking on. So far I havent run into any major even execpt world, that I could not complete with 3-5 people.
