Hi all! I found your recruitment thread on Guild Wars 2 Forum page and thought you sounded like a good choice. My name is Kaleah and I'm a 31 year old female in South FL. I work the corporate 8-5pm grind with other real life things in between. I mainly play evenings and weekends. I'm typically pretty quiet when I start up with a new guild...kinda shy I guess. lol I played the last GW2 beta and really liked it. I mainly played an elementalist and I'm thinking I'll go with that class...but still unsure. Anyway, I'm looking forward to joining you all if you'll have me!! I'm super excited for the early release...I'm planning to take that Monday off from work!

Hello Smoke and Fire I am the Guild Master of Blood Bath N Beyond. My friends and I are also working hard to bring a strong family type guild into GW2. We are looking for alliances and you all seem to share the same vision as we do. If our guild doesn't work out the way we want to we will be looking for a guild like yours to merge into. At the very least, we could be allies. Our guild web site is bbnb.enjin.com/home . Check us out and if you like what you see, keep in touch. You can never know too many good people Best Regards, Rainscythe

Hey guys!! My name is Zach, and I am a GW1 vet. I am currently looking for a guild to call home for GW2. I have played in all the beta weekends and I have to say, THIS GAME WILL TAKE A LOT OF MY TIME... Haha. The Guardian and Engineer will be my primary classes. Ice Banisher and Ice Caliber shall be there names. I just want to find a home where I can meet new friends and build something with them... Exploring dungeons, taking out dragons, and busting a few heads in pvp is all I desire!!! haha not to much to ask, I don't think. This seems like the perfect destination for me... If you would give me the chance to join!!! THANK YOU!!

Hi! When I first saw the "application" thread I thought "O no..., not another guild that takes itself too seriously." Then, when I saw that it was just a place to introduce yourself I thought, "ah, just the kind of people I like!"
I am a 61-year-old retired high school teacher who is a veteran of just about every MMO out there, starting with Everquest. I am looking for fellow adventurers who like exploring and grouping just for fun, not because you have to! I like PvE the best but enjoy large-group PvP also.
I am very tired of MMO's that are a gear grind focused on end-game raiding with only the most perfect builds. It looks like GW2 has just the kind of design I am looking for and I hope my companions will join me in exploring new ways of adventuring together!

Another high school teacher! As long as it wasn't english that you taught then we're ok.

Well I did teach a little English, but what I mainly taught was German, Latin and computer science. I won't correct anyone's English unless they use "then" for "than"

Just wanted to say welcome to the new additions to the site/Guild. I especially wanted to welcome "thegudge" and well met! I now have lost my title as Senior Man here! Just wondering will you correct me if I use "than" for "then"?

lol, i started to make that joke using Social Studies (they are all coaches and never have time to play computer games so it would've been a safer bet). Oh well. I teach AP Biology II, Pre-AP Biology I, and Human Anatomy and Physiology. I've taught a couple other sciences but those are what I have taught the majority of the years.

Hey everyone - I am also a high school teacher Physics mostly, with sometimes a little chemistry, biology, earth science, and human anatomy thrown in there over the years. I'm 36 years old - and played lotro for a long time, currently in swtor (but it has swiftly lost the excitement it used to have). I play quite alot when I can, and love to have alts, but I dont enjoy making the game into work. Mostly what i'm looking for is a gaming family to hang out with, enjoy the game and have fun without the drama- i see enough of that at work! lol. I enjoy doing things in game, but I dont want to take it too seriously and was really drawn in by everyone's comments and attitudes towards GW2. I come late to the game, but the more I read and see on it - the more obsessed i get. Was really bummed I didnt even make today's stress test because I was tutoring. I'm still trying to decide between the ranger and the thief..... if you think it sounds like a fit - i would love to chat with you all some more and look forward to launch!

I'm still trying to decide between the ranger and the thief..... ...having the same dilemma with those professions for my first char too. Leaning towards ranger, but played thief a lot in bwe. Didn't expect I would enjoy thief but dual pistol and shortbow for aoe worked for me

jade: Welcome to yet another high school teacher! Your gaming experiences are much like mine. I also played LotRO for a long time - in fact I am going to check back in today. The main reason I drop out of games is that my guild dissolves or it becomes too much like work. For example, I enjoyed Rift until I reached maximum level and explored all the regions. Then it just became a gear grind, dungeon after dungeon to get more gear for the next level of dungeons. I hope GW2 doesn't develop in that direction - it's designers say that it won't and it would be great if they stick to their vision. And by all means let's keep up our dialog! It's going to be a long three weeks.....

thanks yeah - playing swtor now, but I have nothing left to do on my main other than smash my face against ec hm for some campain gear. And we havent found a guild that really works for us over there, which doesnt help at at all. I'm really looking forward to GW2, and i have a pretty good feeling about this guild so far

I am curious. What are you looking for in a guild? I agree that so far this guild looks to be a great one!

good people to hang out with mostly - I like to raid, do the higher lvl groups and stuff - but NOT military style with rules and reg's and no "talking or laughing in vent" type stuff. people who understand that sometimes real life happens, but can still take pride in their characters and how they play them. In general, people who enjoy the game as a break from the daily grind of real life and can laugh, bullshit, and experience what the game has to offer without making in work or an elitist club

Hello Smoke & Fire! Noticed your thread in the GW2 forums a week or two ago and thought you all seem great, and just what I'm looking for in a gaming community! I'm a 33 year old with a full time job, marriage, kids and college. I play games to relax after a long day at work. Played LOTRO for a while and SWOTOR for a little bit, and I'm extremely excited for Guild Wars 2. I'm looking for a group of laid back, fun loving friends to explore GW2 with, and you guys seem like just the folk! I don't really play games for achievements or stats, just fun! Hope you've got room for one more... Oh, and I'll be playing WillStrike, an Asura Ranger! -Will2all

Hi there!
As I was poking around on the GW2 guild recruitment forums for a casual guild, I came across you guys. When I came here and saw the post just about getting to know people and what they did for a living, I knew I had to try to join.
I'm a 22-year-old GIS Technician from Missouri (I make maps). I am currently engaged and will be married in April. My first MMO experience was on a little-known game called Tibia. The community in that game was amazing, and I have been looking for something like it ever since. I then played WoW a lot for about 3 years, and I still play on and off. Mostly off. I've also played Rift for a few months, and I played LotRO for a while and loved it, because I love the LotR books.
Basically, I've been looking for a nice, close-knit guild that cares about helping each other and enjoying the game, not just robotically getting to max-level and gear-hunting. Now that I have a full-time job and a fiancee who has never played video games, I definitely don't have as much time to play as I used to, but I try to play often, and I'm usually on very late.
Well, now that that wall of text is finished, I just want to say I would love to join you guys exploring this wonderful looking game.
TL;DR - I like you.
