Here is a link to the GW2 Wiki which has a list of biography information if you wish to study over it to decide which traits you want for your character. wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Biography

I have already planned out my characters, but thanks for providing the useful link for others who may need this. I think the coolest thing in this entire list is the panscopic monocle for engineers. Seriously, it's like a steampunk pirate eyepatch. It makes my bearded bald norn look like a cyber engineer warrior guy thing. It's great!
Also, I'm having difficulty deciding between the three memser masks. What do you all think looks the coolest? it's challenging for me.

This is great! Thanks, Zypher. Also, I think the Fanged Dread mast looks the coolest, Danomeon. That's what I chose for my Sylvari. The sorrow one I don't think looks that cool, but I think it has the best description. "They can't see behind the mask - to see if I'm secretly laughing or not."

The Harlequin's Smile is probably my least favorite, the graphic just looks a little too cartoon-y idk. So I'm really quite debating between Phantasm of Sorrow and Fanged Dread... I used Fanged Dread in the betas and I like it, but just something about the frowny face has my interest as well. I think I will use a "flip of the coin" method when the game opens. As far as directly answer your question which is the "coolest", in my opinion I think Fanged Dread is the "coolest" looking.

As far as directly answer your question which is the "coolest", in my opinion I think Fanged Dread is the "coolest" looking. Here are my opinions... Harlequin's smile looks really cheesy, and I don't like it at all. But I feel that it matches my optimism as a person and represents me in GW2 form. If I were to wear a mask in real life to represent me, it'd be that mask. The only unfortunate thing is that it doesn't look so good, so there it's a contrast between who I want my character to be and what I want my character to look like. Phantasm of sorrow is really cool looking and also has pretty cool lore - I like the idea of a character who is so pained that he constantly has a sorrowful look attached to his face, but the concept of the person under that mask 'really laughing' as the option says is cool too. It doesn't look quite as cool as fanged dread. I'm considering going this option, but it doesn't match my character much due to the not-optimism thing and all. Fanged dread might be the coolest looking of all the masks, but I feel like it's going to be overplayed. I want my mesmer to be unique and cool - after all, I selected the mesmer class because it was the most unique class (in my opinion), so to throw that away by going with the mask that I think'll be the most popular doesn't sound like something I'd do. Also, it doesn't match my character at all. So I'm divided - harlequin's smile matches my character story-wise perfectly, but I really don't like how it makes him look. The other two masks look really cool, but they don't match my character at all. I guess I have some thinking to do, maybe I'll play around with harlequin's smile in the character creation and see if I can make it look cool by some miracle of color combination.

Harlequin's smile is what I'm going with just because it matches my personality. Also, I'm not too worried about it as I'm probably just going to hide it because I like the way my face looks I see it as more of a personality choice and we'll get a new helmet eventually anyway.

In the end I'm probably going with the Phantasm of Sorrow. But tomorrow will tell!
