I know not everyone plans on crafting, but several have show interest. If you want to know more about it there it is a thread about it or you can check out Salad's Guide, Personally i was wanting to go Tailor and Artificer for the light armor and staves for my necro.

I chose huntsman and leatherworker. However don't depend on me to advance quickly in either because I prefer adventuring over crafting. Also know I will be working on becoming a resources baron by mining and gathering everything I can.

I chose tailor and weaponsmith but that could change, I know for sure I will be rolling tailor but my second will probably be pretty fluid

Figure I'll go Armorsmith (for bags and heavy armor for my profession) and Jewelery to make accessories to go with it.

I'm only a semi crafter, with having to work to many hours doesn't give alot of time to craft, but I do like to dabble.

I voted cook and jeweller. I'm a sucker for punishment when it comes to crafting and the buffs from food can only be beneficial. The second crafting skill is a bit of a toss up as I'm still not sure what profession I will play. I find that jewellry is usually more beneficial than an armour/weapon skill as usually the higher end equipment for those areas are from drops.

First and foremost just my 2 coppers worth.....
Everyone does not have to feel the need to craft. That is one of the great benifits of belonging to a guild. There are always guildies who will take the roles of crafters. However one of the things that makes GW2 stand out from the rest is that everyone can gather every single resource. Just as long as you purchase the tools to gather them with.
This then is a request to the guildies who do not want to craft. When you have the coin to pruchase tools and you run by a resource node then please gather the resource. I am not asking you to go out of your way to gather...but we all run by resource nodes during our PVE, PvP, WvW and personal story. Another reason for this request is that while you are gathering resources it WILL NOT take up any inventory space. As soon as you gather the resource you can Bank the item. I think all resources will stack to 200. Also this WILL NOT take any space away from your inventory Bank Slots as there is a seperate Bank window/section just for resources.
By supplying your Guild Crafters with resources to perfect their trade they inturn will supply the guild with their crafted items.
Jade stated "I've never been a rabid crafter- but i can gather with the best of them - lol" or what Meqal stated "Also know I will be working on becoming a resources baron by mining and gathering everything I can."
Again the Guilds request is when you run by a resource node and have the time and tool then take those few seconds and gather the resource. It will help your crafters skill and provide you with much needed items and wares.
Oh yeah, as posted in another thread I am taking "Huntsman and Leatherworker". I already have a few requests for bags!

I'm changing my choice of Jewelry to Weaponsmith. Lots of Huntsman and Jewlers already it seems. So as a Warrior, I feel it more beneficial to make both Heavy Armor and melee weapons.

Ashnak, I think the post you made is awesome. That's exactly how it should be.
As for me, Cook and Jeweller! I really like that we've got an almost even spread of crafts besides tailor and armorsmith.

Agreed Ashnak! Also, any armor crafting profession will be able to create the same bags/containers just out of different materials so I seriously doubt we will have a shortage of them lol. I am really excited to have found a guild which has this kind of community! Also I'll shortly be changing my display name to my character name so dont get shocked lol

I know tailors can craft bags as well ( or at least could during the 2nd beta weekend). So all around we should have enough ppl crafting to hopefully help the whole guild get enough bags.

Looking forward to that! Those little 4-6 slot bags as quest rewards are just plain dinky !!! Until you get your hands on runes. Then you can make 12 slot bags. Although, from what I've read, you can buy 20 slot ones as well. Makes me wonder if we'll be able to craft those as well from the get go.

I think I will try out tailoring, but I am not sure how fun I will find it. If I do find crafting enjoyable, I will be more than happy to pick up a second in an area that needs additional craftsfolk.

I plan on tailoring and jewelcrafting to match my castery mesmer playstyle. Eventually, however, I want to be proficient in all of the professions. I don't plan to level up all of the professions on one character - I'll level up 2 per character and eventually I'll be able to check off all of the boxes.
