I cannot confirm this myself... but according to this thread www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/49613-looking-for-confirmation-name-grabbing-tactics/you can use the "skip" in character creation to go directly to entering your name, then delete the character and have that same name "bound" to your account for 24 hours. So that you can then not rush through character creation just to get that name... just a thought... some people may want to try

Sweet! I'll definitely be doing this, although my names are generally not taken. Little paranoid

I'll share with you what I think the stress tests are actually useful for... During the last the stress test, I practiced character creation for my main so that I can go through the process as quickly as possible! I'm all ready for launch! But come to think of it, I may practice this a little more today!!! Isn't there another test today!?

Thanks for the tip! I'll probably end up doing a little somethin' like this, but on the other hand I might be a super geek and plan out every last character prior to launch, and create all of them right away to reserve the names. One thing that I find kind of cool is that the names can span multiple words, so if for some reason a name is taken you can just add a last name to the character and call it good. I'm even contemplating adding last names to my characters that normally have first names just to make them sound more regal. Anyways, thanks for the information, you've probably made my life much easier on launch day

Not too worried about my character name since it's the same one I used in Guild Wars. So I know it is reserved. As far as my alts, I've had those planned out since the professions were announced and figured out their traits in the beta.

I practiced during the stress test. I was able to make my character in 45 seconds but with this, I'm not sure if that's fast enough.

Thanks for the tip, Orion! I was wondering how I was going to be able to reserve the names for all 5 of my characters, when it takes me an hour just to decide what hair style complement's my Asura's floppy ears.
