I woke up this morning with a very excited hubby aka Ralimar. He was so excited to have found the guild. I am also excited as well knowing that this is a place for both of us. My husband being much more the gamer than I who am he casual type and has to weave time in to play on much more casual basis but that is what the guild is based from a place for everyone no matter if have played for years varias MMO's or this is day 1. My husband and I played wow togther for years Took me a year to get my character to level 80 but try balancing that with work clean house ect and did I mention I was planning our wedding as well SMILES. I am glad to have found a guild that will not ignore the casual ones like me. I look forward to getting to know people that is one of the best perks of being part of a guild. Have a wonderful day. Thanks for all the welcome everyone. An Jade my wife Nancy smiled at your post. " I like her" was her exact quote. I just pre ordered the 80.00 one so I look forward to using that tome of Influence to give extra points or whatever for the guild to use. As someone who has played em from Everquest to EQ2, to Wow, to here, really helpful, friendly guilds like this are rare. I am super excited and happy to add my help and tom foolery to anyone and everyone in need. My only worry is are we sure that we will all be able to get onto the Borliss Pass server to all stay together? An anyone who can teach this fella how to add a profile pic that would be super .

Welcome everyone! And I almost forgot about the Tomes I'd be receiving, as I too had prepurchased the Digital Deluxe Edition of Guild Wars 2.

Good morning, I would like to apply to your very friendly sounding guild. I am female, older (three kids in college), and an avid gamer. I played wow for years, then aion, rift and swtor, but GW 2 should blow them all out of the water. I have a very early work schedule (teacher) and live just west of Boston, so I hope a bunch of people are around during the day to explore with. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hello waterlilly, I don't think you will have any problem finding daytime companions. I work fairly early too so during the week I like to get to bed by 1130. Welcome to the team!

Welcome, another teacher! I'm beginning to see a trend. What does it say about us teachers if we all escape into a fantasy world? lol

Hey all, I came across Smoke and Fire a few weeks back when Loggahead posted it up in the GW2 thread over at [H]. It piqued my interest, so here I am.
I’ve played the original GW since release (my only MMO- I won’t pay a subscription fee for a game), though I took big breaks here and there over the years for other games. I never investigated a guild because: A) I never felt like I had the time to seriously dedicate, and B) it was so easy to play solo with heroes and henchmen. Guild Wars was never a MMO to me- it was just a single player RPG where you saw some other folks in towns. Over the past few months I have been hitting the game relatively hard, and only recently finished the first two expansions and finally got 30/50 HoM points.
GW2 is obviously different in that there are no more instances and there’s an actual requirement to interact and get along with other human players. The way Smoke and Fire is described seems to suit my casual playing style (and a lot of others, apparently) greatly; i.e., no one will freak out if I have to drop out of a game suddenly or can’t make a meeting time/date due to kid/family/reality responsibilities or take some time off if something comes up (like a new game).
So thanks for putting this guild together, and thanks for your consideration. Looking forward to the game!

Welcome to causticspill and waterlily! It's good to see the guild grow even more in anticipation for launch. I'm excited to see just how big we are when the game goes live and everyone starts joining up in-game.

Hey Logga and Morg (and any others I may have missed)!! It's me - 'Horace Krell' from the original SaF. I was the newb running around with Wu Shao and Theo all the time trying to find new ways to get us all killed Anyhow, I plan on playing GW2 and did a quick search for 'guildwars smoke and fire' to try to find the old boards in case anyone was still around and lookey what I found! I hope to see you in-game and I'm glad to hear you're still keeping the "Don't worry - it's a game and we'll have fun" vibe going. Now to find Theo, Wu Shao and Syncronisix (or however-the-hell you spell it).
